My name is Alastair Dinsmor and I am a retired Inspector of Strathclyde Police, Scotland, UK. I served in the Police here in the Glasgow area from 1965 until June 1998, when I retired.

My International Police Collection was founded in 1966 and has grown into one of Europe's largest private collections of police insignia, uniforms and headgear. I have over 6400 items from EVERY country in the World.

My collection was on display at the Glasgow Police Museum, 68 St. Andrew's Square, Glasgow, Scotland between 2002 and 2008.

THE GLASGOW POLICE MUSEUM MOVED TO 30 BELL STREET, MERCHANT CITY, GLASGOW, AND HAS RE-OPENED TO VISITORS.
